Happy New Year! It feels very good to finally be back. Let's keep it short and sweet: I'm obsessed with my Mulberry jacket. It's been featured here and here. I've worn it all weekend, from the office to a late dinner. The only impractical part of the coat: the half sleeves. On the runway, the coat was displayed with long leather gloves. I looked for those very gloves but was unable to find them. So, if I wear the jacket in the evenings, then I'll layer it over a leather jacket or knit.
At current, I am on the hunt for a jacket as amazing as my Toscana. In fact, it has been a practice of mine to acquire "the coat" or "the jacket" each fall/winter season. This season has been difficult. I haven't fallen in love with anything in particular. The closest to a viable option, a Bottega Veneta Oversized Cashmere Coat on Net-A-Porter.com but it's currently sold out. Figures, right? And as we're halfway through the season, my best bet will be to score something on clearance from a previous season -- a consolation prize that I will happily take. My requirements for my next coat: fur, strong shoulders and and a bow somewhere -- purely a construction of my own mind! Have you seen anything that I might like? If so, then please, let me know!
