Confession: I stole the above look. Well, I didn't steal the clothing, just the styling from Net-A-Porter.com. It was just that perfectly balanced: a sheer with opaque silk paneled blouse, a flirty keyhole neckline and a unique geometric print full skirt. Sold. The look also served as inspiration for my future looks, with more attention paid to print, shape and fabric texture.
The photo shoot took place inside of Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn. I was photographed by a local Brooklyn photographer named Jenny Woods. I was taken with her incredibly sultry images, heavy with mood. She pushed me to emote and embrace my surroundings, while sharing my personal style. It wasn't an easy shoot; I'm shy and much rather be behind the lens instead of in front of it. However, I couldn't live on my rooftop forever; street style is just that, on the street!
