Fresh LookFresh Face

So Revolve is on the "hunt for Chictopia's fresh faces and talent" to star in their upcoming Summer Style Guide and I decided to submit an entry. I know I'm no Naomi Campbell but I am a normal girl, just like you, and would very much like to represent us in their campaign. The winners will be selected by Chictopia members so I encourage those of you who are members to go and vote not for the prettiest girl or who has on the nicest designer clothes, but the girl(s) who best represent you.

REVOLVE Spring Style Must Have Item

What is your must-have REVOLVE item for spring, and how would you style it? I've certainly been eying the N.Y.L.A. Pura Buckle Sandals in black for spring. The utilitarian look is most certainly in for spring/summer 2010 though I'd probably carry the sandals well into the indian summer. Insofar as styling, being the easy going basicbasic girl that I am, I'd probably just throw them on with a deconstructed, loose-fitting t-shirt, denim cut-offs and loads of bracelets and rings, all of which, in the gold persuasion. And here's a treat for you guys: Revolve is offering 20% off any purchase* to help you get started on your spring 2010 wardrobe! Enter CHICTOPIC20 at checkout to enjoy the savings. BLUE STAR / SHINE YOUR LIGHT

 Dress: Tolani
Shoes: Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses: Dita

I've been a little bummed out these last few days. You can basically chalk it up to what I call "LIFE!" -- all of the unfortunate situations/events/etc... that you have seemingly no control over in your life. So, without even really getting into it, I'll just message a friend LIFE! and she/he will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I decided to cheer myself up by taking a few shots of one of my favorite looks for spring, with a touch of fall pieces: a silk, paisley dress, oversized vintage-esque sunglasses + leather wedge cutout shoes in bordeaux and a quilted leather bag in cognac. [don't you just love colors that are named after kinds of alcohol?] And please forgive the flamingo stance, I'm still working out the kinks in my shameless self-portraits with my SLR.

And if you're wondering about this baby to the left, she is Wendy Brandes' Marie Antoinette Ring. I mentioned in a previous post that I was in dire need of some more rings and this baby would not disappoint. 27.64 carat amethyst, 2 carats of tsavorites, 18K gold -- I'm honestly ready to sink my teeth in, she's so delicious! One just might even say, she's fit for a queen...

Dress: T-Bags
Shoes: Balenciaga

Pardon my return to shameless self-shots with my digital camera, dusty mirrors, awkward self-poses and a peak-a-boo bra. I was too excited about this T-Bags Beaded Necklace Dress to care about the formalities of popular fashion blogging. It just feels so good to put something on and feel absolutely amazing in it. It also feels good to know that one of your favorite brands has returned with a season of drool-worthy pieces, all heavy with beading and intricate patterns. Thank you T-Bags for creating the perfect day-and-night dress for the not-so-girlie girls like myself. You've managed to keep it basic enough for the uniform wearing crew (i.e. t-shirt, denim/leggings and flats) with a serious KAPOW  in the regal neckline. Anticipate some more photographs of me in this dress in future posts, especially when I'm in Los Angeles in a few weeks -- I need to give this baby as much exposure as possible.

Checkout the rest of the T-Bags Spring 2010 Collection here. Trust me chicas y chicos, you won't be disappointed.
