The infamous outfit posts have returned! Don't worry, I'm not trying to become a "style icon," but rather just show you guys what I run around in, when I can. I'm a normal young woman, just like you, working with what I've got.
This season, Zara has been absolutely killing it with their pieces. Granted, the price points have gone up since the company's fledgling years in the States, but so has the style selections. I excitedly anticipate upcoming releases, month to month.
Sizing note: I'm not sure what's going on with Zara and their American sizing team but the sizing needs improvement. I'm 5'4, athletic build, with a small top and a medium bottom and in Zara, that converts to a size LARGE. The company may not be intentionally sending a message to the shoppers but if I am a large, then the vast majority of the women in this country won't be able to wear the clothing. I'd address Zara directly, but the company has yet to formally embrace social media.
You may have noticed that I referred to my Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers as "Chuckies" -- that's just a nickname that I've come up with, for my favorite summer sneaker. Every summer (for as long as I can remember), I've purchased a pair of low-top Chuckies in white. I'd wear the pair until it basically fell apart, which was usually by the end of the summer. If I could own several pairs, in various colors and styles, then I would. For now, the dirty whites will do.
