[Something New] The MamaZoo Rufio Feather Necklace

Artists and Fleas is a market where various vendors, both vintage and contemporary, come together to sell their wares. During the week, they are located at the Chelsea Market and on weekends, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. There you'll find a variety of unique pieces, from designers, artists and vintage collectors.  

I first saw the above necklace at Artists and Fleas a few weeks ago, while browsing the various vendors at the Williamsburg location. At the time, an all black Rufio was not available, but the designer said that she could custom make a piece. During a more recent trip to market, I scored the Rufio necklace in all black. I was enchanted by its exotic beauty.

MamaZoo is a diverse collection of jewelry, with inspiration hailing anywhere from Brazil to Africa. With features in Vogue TV, Parq Magazine, and Janela Urbana, MamaZoo is clearly a covetable collection. I intend on returning and picking up another piece, perhaps with softer-tone feathers for wear during the spring/summer months.
