In May, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at one of the most luxurious hotels in the world: Villa Padierna Palace Hotel in Marbella, Spain. Villa Padierna was unlike any hotel that I had ever been to; gardens straight out of a Victorian novel, acres and acres of lush greenery, and the vantage point of overlooking the majestic Mediterranean were just some of the high points of the hotel. It took me over an hour to select images to share with you.
We were fortunate enough to stay in "Villa Obama," named after the First Lady of United States Michelle Obama. She was a guest of the hotel in 2010, thus the hotel named the villa that she stayed in after the First Lady. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Our three-floor villa, boasted incredible and unobstructed views of the hills of Marbella, as well as the Mediterranean. Each room in our villa was decorated with antiques and art pieces from the owner of the hotel's personal collection. And it didn't stop there, our two massive bedroom villa came with a full kitchen, two large patios and a swimming pool. It was absolutely the most lavish and exquisite hotel stay that I have had in my life (to date).
The service matched the decor. Housekeeping tended to the villa a few times daily, room service was almost too delicious (I consumed more pasta there than perhaps anywhere else in the world) and the beds were like sleeping on clouds. It was very difficult to leave the villa daily as we felt as though we were princesses in our own castle. My stay at Villa Padierna was nothing short of magical. I felt extremely fortunate to have been a guest there. I have since shared my experience with all of my friends in the hope that they, too, can enjoy a slice of the heaven that is Villa Padierna.
