[The Queen's Events] Snapette + Curve's Digital Fashion Fete

Last week, I attended Curve and Snapette's Digital Fashion Fete. The event was to co-promote Curve's latest boutique on the luxurious Bond Street, as well as Snapette's app (available in Google Play and iTunes). All attendees who participated in the evening's digital contest, were to be given a white Nexus 4 phone, courtesy of Google. Unfortunately, Snapette failed to make the instruction for participation clear prior to the event, so I doubt many phones were distributed. In fact, had I not known prior to the event that Snapette and Curve were in co-promotion, I would not have known anything about Snapette's involvement. The event felt more like a celebration for a new store opening than anything else. Snapette could have used some assistance in the public relations and marketing departments, but I digress. 

Fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, hosted the event, along with music by Harley Viera-Newton (pictured above). While she spun records, an incredibly talented gentleman (pictured above and in the mirror with Viera-Newton) drew a brilliant image, I presumed, to be featured in the shop. It was most remarkable. As for Ferragni, she was nowhere to be seen. I cannot say that I am a huge fan of Ferragni; I found her to be somewhat dismissive and rude at the LuisaViaRoma Socialyte Gala during New York Fashion Week. Nevertheless, the event was worth attendance. The shop was filled with exquisite pieces and above were some of my favorites. Curve carried everything a girl with unlimited funds could ever want: Maison hats, Valentino Rockstuds and of course, Balmain. Most of the shop's inventory was removed from the party, with only the key pieces on display. I plan on pursuing the racks sometime in the near future, for a fuller sense of Curve's collections.
