[Vote for the Queen] Threadflip's "Share Your Style" Contest

I very seldom enter contests; I much rather prefer to support friends or host them on my blog. But I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and try my luck! Above is my page on Threadflip's "Share Your Style" contest, which is currently running on Facebook. My personal style submission is simple and to the point: I wear variations of "the uniform" from season to season, no circus looks necessary. 

The winner will receive a 3-month blogging contract with Threadflip (valued at over $1500) and a $500 shopping spree on Threadflip. As a "gainfully" unemployed young woman, winning would be the best thing that could happen to me (right next obtaining a full-time job, of course).

New York, NY / H&M's BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Its times likes these, that I wish I were still in a band. [sigh] Well, for those of you dreamers out there, this may be your big break. H&M is sponsoring a Battle of the Bands Contest in which one lucky group will perform at H&M's Fashion Against AIDS launch party on May 19, 2010 in New York City. You've dreamed about the fame, fame, baby the fame and now, here's your chance!

To enter, simply upload at least one video of your band (5 members or less only) playing an original song to the H&M website. The ten (10) highest rated bands will be eligible to win a chance to perform LIVE at the H&M Fashion Against AIDS launch party in New York City. A panel of of H&M judges will select from the top ten rated bands the winning band to perform at the event (which is slated to have over 500 guests). 

The winning band will receive for all of their hard work: 1) $200 H&M gift cards per band member 2) round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations to New York City to play LIVE at the H&M Fashion Against AIDS launch party 3) a custom H&M apparel package.
