[Indian Summer] Getting Real in my Sperry Top-Sider
Earlier this summer, I received a pair of boat shoes from Sperry Top-Sider. In retrospect, I cannot imagine surviving a summer in NYC, commuting almost 6 days a week, without my Sperrys. They were my go-to daily shoe and if I had an event, they were on my feet until I was a block away. I lived in my Sperry boat shoes.
Now that the temperatures are dropping, I am in the market for a shoe similar to my boat shoes but with a more professional flare. Instead of a summery canvas upper, perhaps a nod to fall with a leather. After browsing Sperry's website, I think penny loafers may be the way to go. I've always wanted a pair and I know with Sperry, comfort and quality won't take a backseat to style. My favorite styles are the Men's Gold Cup Dress Beef Roll Penny Loafer and the Men's Tremont Kiltie Tassel. It might be some time before I can get my hands on pair (since I am unemployed) but they are on the top of my fall must haves list.
