I've been dying to wear some of my fall/winter staples but the weather has been so inconstant. One day, the weather will be much like a warm summer's day and the next, bitterly cold. However, I think we've finally hit a consistently cold front.
You've seen my Nanette Lepore Poison Ring Coat here and may recall that I was quite taken with the military design.
The one criticism that I do have about the coat is the weave; it easily unravels. Until the Poison Ring, I'd never owned a coat from Nanette Lepore and believed her to stand for high quality. I don't necessarily think that because of my one, treasured but poorly woven coat, that Lepore is low quality; I am just disappointed with the quality of the weave. The coat looks great but cannot be brushed against anything, including my own purse.
As for the other bits, who doesn't love a cute hat for the colder months? You can expect to see me wearing that Portolano Popcorn Stitch Hat from Otte NY in upcoming outfit posts. It is comfortable and keeps my head warm. I'm considering picking it up a maybe one or two more colors, as Otte NY offers the hat in bordeaux, grey and a soft purple.
The Miu Miu Stampa Cocco Lux Clutch/Purse is something outside of my comfort zone. I needed a smaller purse for everyday use, since I'm always on the move and not always carrying a ton of things. The Stampa Cocco Lux is great because it looks luxurious and can be worn as purse or a clutch. I love dual purpose accessories.
And as for the flats? A no-brainer. They're jewelry for my feet.
