MY TEN PICKS FOR A FANTASY CHRISTMAS

I'm a firm believer in the philosophy, "If you're going to dream, dream big," so I did with this little fantasy Christmas Wish list. I'll be following up shortly with more affordable holiday gift ideas, but for now, dream with me in the land of luxury. 

1. Dannijo Bea Necklace: It is no secret that I'm thoroughly obsessed with Dannijo.  The Bea would be an excellent addition to my humble but colorful jewelry collection as a transition piece from day to evening. 
2. Dannijo Sinatra Necklace: Yet another fantastic piece from Dannijo for the Peter Pan collar aficionado. 
3. YSL Beastie Ring: I love that semi-precious stone is being held in what appears to be talons. Rings with animalistic accents are always a winner in my book.
4. Christian Louboutin Bibi 140 Suede Platform Pumps: Those pumps are not only classic but quite versatile, thanks to the nude color. 
5. Prada Butterfly Sunglasses: Although those particular Prada sunglasses are from an older season, they are still classic, especially for someone with my particular head shape and size. Unfortunately, I don't believe that they're in production anymore. 
6. YSL Tribute Sandals in Python: PETA is going to hate me for that one. I just noticed that somehow, that sandal dropped from the thousands to the hundreds -- talk about a recession special!
7. Kara Ross Small Shirt Cuff: PETA is going to hate me for that one as well. I'm pretty sure that Ross uses lizard skin but I wouldn't lose sleep over that bracelet. 
8. Celine Luggage Tote: The tote speaks for itself.
9. Antik Batik Lisa Sequin Dress: I randomly came across the Lisa dress on sale somewhere months ago. Since then, I've been dying to get my hands on her -- she'd be perfect for New Years Eve (not that I have any plans). 
10. Chanel Jumbo Flap: As if I even need to tell you, person on a fashion blog, why I want/need that bag. 

[Vanity Fair] Unzipped in Zara

Zara Jacket, American Apparel Leaf Flower Lace Tee, Pleasure Doing Business Bandage Skirt, Spanx Tight End Tights, and Yves Saint Laurent Platform Pump. 

Every woman should possess a healthy amount of black clothing in her wardrobe. I always find myself reaching for a black jacket, skirt or blouse whenever I'm in need of a safe and stylish touch to an outfit. 

The Zara jacket that I'm wearing has been worn at least a dozen times since I purchased it late this past summer. The jacket is just so versatile. In the first image, I'm wearing it without the zippered belt. In the final image, I'm wearing it with the zipper belt, but slightly ajar.  There's something sort of Chanel about it; every look is instantly made more sophisticated because of it. And being black only makes the jacket that more fabulous. It is by far, my favorite piece going into the fall/winter seasons.

Eyeglasses Warby Parker T-shirt Kain Label Skirt Pleasure Doing Business Shoes Pura Lopez Rings Melrose Flea Market, Yves Saint Laurent and Amrita Singh

Don't get too used to outfit posts. I'm no model and am fortunate to have someone who doesn't mind documenting my less-than-amazing looks from time to time. I won't lie, I do enjoying getting my America's Next Top Model on in front of the camera. I'm comfortable in what I'm wearing and it's all real, well, except for my weave (although my weave is REAL hair). 

This summer I discovered Pleasure Doing Business (PDB). I absolutely love their bandage skirts. Normally, I'd only wear flouncy skirts because of my muscular legs but now, thanks to PDB, I can have fun with the body con look without a full-on body con dress. I look forward to their Fall 2011 with great anticipation. 

As for my holey Kain Label t-shirt, I just can't let it go. I have another Kain Label t-shirt and it is just as holey. As I'm sure you all know, Kain t-shirts don't come cheap so, if I'm going to spend the money, then I'm going to wear the t-shirt until it is unwearable. Holes doth not make a t-shirt unwearable (unless I have a job interview or something of the sort).

Warm Weather Necessities: Rebecca Minkoff

Whenever I spend a few hours in the sun, I always feel better -- the vitamin d production instantly boosts my spirits like nothing else on this planet. Or so I thought until I browsed the pages of Rebecca Minkoff. Here are some of my favorites for the spring/summer months that I would be more than happy to sport around the city:

For warm summer brunches with my friends, I would definitely slip into the Floral Ilaria Dress and a pair of wedges or stacked heel sandals. And I don't know about you kitties, but I would certainly feel much yummier after a late night downtown or in the 'burg wearing the Catwoman und my Yves Saint Laurent Platform Pumps will most certainly be on my feet. 

 I'm also in the market for a new purse and the Beloved Mini in black would be perfect, especially going into fall. The Beloved Mini appears to be quite roomy with buttery soft leather and cross body strap. Don't get me wrong, I love my Marc Jacobs Stam but it would be nice to not feel the grooves of the chain digging into my flesh when my purse is packed. 

There's also this fabulous Lover's Clutch in black snake emboss with gold plated corners. Though I already have two fabulous black clutch from Lauren Merkin in plain and patent leather, I don't have anything with texture! I'm already envisioning, tanks + denim shorts + strappy flat sandals and this fabulous beauty tucked securely underneath my arm.
